Once upon a time, there was an Ibizan writer who collaborated with all the newspapers on the island and wrote many books. He lived in Mallorca for much of his life and, as he missed his homeland, he promoted everything related to Ibiza: he published cookbooks, travel books, and, above all, the Ibizan Fairy Tales, with which he immortalized the stories and legendsthat had been passed down from parents to children for generations.

Joan Pera

He is a famous Catalan actor, who was born in Mataró in 1948. With great theatrical performances behind him, playing Paul Sartre’s or Bertolt Brecht’s characters, Joan Pera has been directed by iconic directors, such as the incomparable Woody Allen, whom he has officially dubbed into Spanish for decades.

Agnès

(Paula Tur)

At the age of eleven, she is a bright and witty young woman, as well as an avid reader. However, she keeps a great secret: she has the gift of communicating with the afterlife. The last thing she imagines when she arrives at the apartment that her parents intend to rent is to contact a character who will open the doors to a whole fantasy world.

Despite her youth, she is already an experienced actress, as well as a photographic and catwalk model. She has starred in several shorts films, such as ‘Zebra’, directed by Helher Escribano, and has participated, as a supporting actress, in the short film ‘Ido Rematal’s’ by Javier Riera and the feature film ‘The Secret of Ibosim’ by Miguel Angel Tobias.

Sílvia

(Ana Escandell)

Silvia is a high school teacher who returns to Ibiza after five years of living on the mainland. She is the mother of Agnès, a very peculiar girl. Silvia is very skeptical about everything that has to do with the strange abilities of her daughter.

When she was only four years old, she fell in love with traditional dance and, later, contemporary dance. Accustomed to stepping on stage from a very young age, first with musical shows and then plays, she has participated in several short films, in the TV series ‘Closed Bar’, directed by the comedian José Boto, and in Javier Riera’s film ‘Ido Mata’ls’.

Marc

(David Pomar)

Marc is Agnès’s father, a computer scientist by profession. His character is docile and submissive, in contrast to the strong personality of his wife Silvia. Marc doesn’t quite understand the mysterious behaviour of his daughter.

David Pomar

He is an Ibizan actor and singer. He is one of the tenors of the choir ‘City of Ibiza’ and has performed in musicals such as ‘Grease’, or ‘Aladdin’. He has participated in Javier Riera’s trilogy ‘Ido Mata’ls’ and in Héctor Escandell’s feature film ‘The Crimes of All Hallows’ Day’. He has also worked on several short films and music videos.

Lluís

(Borja Tous)

Lluís is a real estate agent. He is a friendly guy, albeit excessively talkative and somewhat pedantic, who won’t miss the opportunity to rent a 19th-century flatto Sílvia and Marc. What he doesn’t know is that this house hides much more than the human eyes can perceive.

Borja Tous

Borja is an Ibiza-based actor who was born in Mallorca. He ran his own performing arts school, aimed at children and teenagers. He has worked for more than ten seasons in the TV3 series ‘La Riera’, as well as in national TV seriessuch as ‘Yo soy Bea’, ‘La que se avecina’, or ‘Frágiles’.

Josepa

(Francisca Salvadó)

Josepa is Pep’s mother. She is a superstitious old woman, afraid of divine punishment. For this reason, she vehemently tries to warn her son Pep about respecting the rest of the dead. What she doesn’t imagine is that, on All Hallows’ Eve, her son will pay for his recklessness.

She is an experienced actress actress who has taken part in numerous plays, among which are Molière’s farce ‘The Doctor in spite of himself’, the symbolist work by Santiago Russinyol ‘L’alegria que passa’ and Joanot Martorell’s classic ‘Tirant lo blanc’. She is a member of the comedy trio ‘Ses pageses emprenyades’and is part of the cast of the award-winning short film by Adrián Cardona ‘The last Christmas in the Universe’.

Pep MANYÀ

(Iván Ros)

At forty years old, he still lives with his mother, Josepa, and dedicates as much time as he can to his only hobby, night fishing. Pep is a kind and carefree man who ignores the wise advice of his mother. But in the end, this attitude will cause him a disturbance that won’t forget for the rest of his life.

He is an Ibizan actor and producer, as well president of the association Play Cine. With a solid and varied acting background, he has starred in TV spots and has worked, as a supporting actor, in several short films, in the TV miniseries ‘Fúria’ by Toni Bestard, and in the feature film ‘Los Europeos’ by Víctor García León.

Eulària

(Lucía Serra)

Eulària is a very conceited young woman who loves getting all prettied up in front of a mirror, along with her sister Marieta. Despite being eighteen years old, her behaviour is childish and immature. Belonging to a wealthy family, Eulalia escapes from housework and spends the day combing her hair and singing. She doesn’t imagine the fate that awaits her.

Lucía Serra

Lucía has been stepping on stage since she was eight years old when she joined a choir in her native Ibiza. Later, she trained in Darío Facal’s Work in Progress Theater School. Her works include the short film ‘Vecinas’ by Héctor Escandell, several plays, such as ‘Norway Today’ or ‘Hairspray’, and some TV spots and music videos. She has also participated in the RTVE series ‘La otra mirada’.

Marieta

(Laura Guasch)

Marieta, who is seventeen years old, is Eulària’s younger sister. She lives carefree, enjoying her clothes and her hairstyles. She is always humming old songs with Eulària, to the despair of her mother. What Marieta doesn’t suspect is that her behaviour will cause a terrible curse.

She is an Ibizan actress and dancer. From a very young age, her training focused on dance and musical theater. She has participated in several short films and plays, receiving the award for Best Young Actress at the Alcalá de Henares Theater Contest. She currently continues her training as an actress at Darío Facal’s Work in Progress School.

Catalina

(Neus Torres)

Catalina is the mother of Eulària and Marieta. She is a straight and responsible woman who can’t stand the frivolity of her two daughters. When a tragedy hits Can Fita without mercy, Catalina is forced to take the helm of the family. She doesn’t imagine that a few words of hers will cause a terrible curse.

She is a stage, film, and TV actress, as well as a theater pedagogue and a member of the comedy trio ‘Ses pageses emprenyades’. Her training, which began at the Institut del Teatre (Barcelona), has had teachers such as Jordi Prat, Leo Bassi, Carlo Boso, and the famous clown Philippe Gaulier. She has worked on Igor Fioravanti’s film ‘Ibiza Dream’ and on the TV series ‘Baléarix’ and ‘Llàgrima de sang’.

Xicu

(Juanjo Suñer)

Xicu is the father of Eulalia and Marieta, a righteous and kind man who loves his family. But fate has very cruel intentions for him. He doesn’t imagine that a dark shadow will end up cursing his family.

He is an Ibizan actor and singer. He is part of the Can Blau gospel choir and has participated in numerous musicals, starring in many of them, such as ‘Operación Santa’ or ‘Aladdin’. He has worked in several short films, as well as in Héctor Escandell’s feature film ‘The Crimes of All Hallows’ Day’.

Xiquet

(Samuel Benítez)

Xiquet is the eldest son of the Can Fita family. He dreams of being a great military man, and when he is recruited to join the army in North Africa, he happily and proudly goes off to do his duty. Xiquet can’t imagine what will happen to his family during his absence.

Samuel Benítez

From his adolescence, he became interested in the stage. With the theater company ‘Arts i Oficis d’Eivissa’, he has worked on numerous plays, focusing above all on musical theater. She has participated in the TV series ‘Closed Bar’, by comedian José Boto, and in the feature film ‘Los Europeos’, by Víctor García León.

Pep

(Dani Tomás)

When Eulària and Marieta lose their father, Catalina pulls strings to get them married as soon as possible, since she considers that this is the only way to help them grow up. Even knowing the rumours circulating about this family, young suitor Pep is willing to show up in Can Fita along with his friend Joan. Their goal is to romance the sisters.

Dani Tomás

Trained mainly in Darío Facal’s ‘Work in progress’ School, he has enriched his acting knowledge with the Stanislavski method, the Meisner technique, and the Linklater technique. He has participated in numerous short films and, with one of them, ‘Querer creer’ by Daniela Díez, he won the 2019 Feel Motion Award. Since his participation in the TV series ‘Alba’ (Atresmedia), he has played characters in several feature films that will soon be released.

Joan

(Jordi Sanou)

Joan, Pep’s best friend, doesn’t know much about the Can Fita family, but when he meets Eulària he feels a special connection with her. Catalina is relieved to think that her daughters will marry and finally take on responsibilities. But Eulària and Catalina are in no great hurry to satisfy her mother’s wishes.

Jordi Sanou

Jordi Sanou was born in Barcelona, although he has been based in Ibiza for a long time. He is a singer, rapper, and actor who has focused on composing and performing his own hip-hop music. His experience on the stage has allowed him to participate in several plays, such as ‘The yes of the girls’, directed by Antonio Cantos, and even be part of a gospel choir.

Cristòfol

(Jesús Rumbo)

Cristòfol is the town postman, an affable man with a great sense of humour. He knows all the neighbours well and is responsible for bringing them all kinds of news, both good and bad.

Jesús Rumbo

Jesús Rumbo has a wide background in the world of entertainment. He is a benchmark on our island thanks to radio programs (‘Sa nostra gent’, ‘La hora del Besugo’) and TV shows (‘Es Calaix’, ‘Kafe Kaleta’). He has starred in award-winning short films, such as ‘Nemesio’ (2007), ‘Ses banyes de la bèstia’ (2007), and “The Third Eye” (2010). He is also a monologist and host of all kinds of events.

The priest

(Pedro Miguel López)

The members of the Can Fita family must face a tough challenge, which will bring out the best and the worst in each of them. The village priest will always be by their side to comfort them and, when necessary, officiate the funerals to say goodbye to their loved ones.

Pedro Miguel López

Since he was a child, he has been a regular on the stage. He has participated in the Zarzuela ‘Los Gavilanes’ and the rock opera ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ which was recorded in a music video. As a choir director, in 2016 he conducted a concert formed by the choirs of all the parishes of Ibiza (about four hundred people). He is the author of the book ‘History of the church organs of Ibiza’. He is also a canon and organist at the cathedral of Ibiza, as well as a rector of the church of Nuestra Señora de Jesús.

Vicent

(Miquel Vingut)

He is the eldest son of the family that, many years later, lives in Can Fita and is a distant descendant of Xicu and Catalina. He has just married Rita, whom he takes to live in the family house. However, some strange events are about to haunt the young couple. Vicent never imagined that his life would be conditioned by the sins of his ancestors.

Miquel Vingut

He is an Ibizan actor. He has worked in numerous plays and musicals, as well as many short films, some of them directed by himself. His unstoppable energy has allowed him to win several awards and teach acting classes at the ECI (Ibiza Film School).

Rita

(Paula Ramos)

Rita is the wife of Vicent. At first, she is happy and excited about living in Can Fita, but, as there are things that she can’t fully understand, she feels increasingly sad and anxious. She doesn’t know that Can Fita holds some secrets that will test her marriage and her sanity.

Paula Ramos

She is an actress and singer who began to emerge on stage when she was just a teenager. She trained at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, and she has worked on numerous short films and plays. Besides, she received the Best Actress Award at the Raval Theater Festival in 2012.

Margalida

(Espe Llorens)

Margalida is Toni’s wife. She is a good housewife who makes an effort to care for and protect her family. Margalida has been hiding all her life, even from her own children, the dark secret of Can Fita.

She is an Ibizan actress who has worked on numerous short films and music videos, but her artistic career has focused more on the theater world. She is a member of the comic theater company ‘Ses pageses emprenyades’.

Toni

(Alfredo Marí)

Toni knows all the secrets beneath Can Fita and he has been living with them all his life. When his son Vicent and his wife Rita notice strange happenings in the house and begin to ask questions, Toni tries to leave things the way they are.

He turned to the stage since was very young, even starring in a version of ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’. For more than fifteen years he led the rock band ‘Pota Lait’, with which he released three LPs and many music videos. He has participated, as an actor and musician, in Javier Riera’s trilogy ‘Idò Mata’ls’. He has worked with Héctor Escandell on the feature film ‘The Crimes of All Hallows’ Day’ and on the short film that commemorates the 125th anniversary of Diario de Ibiza.

Pere

(Mariano Costa)

Pere is Vicent’s little brother, whom he always helps. He is also unaware of the mysteries surrounding Can Fita and is the first to be surprised when the secrets that his family has kept for generations come to light.

He is a magician and actor. His empathy and acute psychological perception have led him to work with children, specializing in Child Psychomotricity. His magician skills have allowed him to work in numerous shows and attract the audience’s attention. As an actor, he has participated in several short films, as well as in the TV series ‘Memoria Negra’ (IB3 TV). Besides, he is the author of the script for the theatrical show ‘Horror Dinner’.

Miquel from Can Partit

(Juanjo Torres)

Miquel is a fisherman and father of a family. One day he falls seriously ill and a wise healer tells him that he has only six days to live. The cure is a plant that can only be found on an islet called Es Vedrà. During the lethargy caused by his disease, his life hangs in the balance. Meanwhile, his two brave children will do everything possible to save him.

He is a film and theater actor. He has starred in many short films, some of them awarded, such as ‘La migración de la rosa ‘El último peldaño útil’, ‘El hijo del taxidermista’ or the multi-award winning ‘The last Christmas in the universe’, by Adrián Cardona and David Muñoz. He has also participated in some feature films: ‘Ibiza dream’, ‘La raíz del mal’ and ‘The Crimes of All Hallows’ Day ‘, directed by Hector Escandell and Vicente Torres.

Antonia from Can Partit

(Tita Planells)

Antonia lives a happy life with her family, taking care of the vegetable garden and cooking what Miquel, her husband, fishes on his boat. But all her happiness is in dangerwhen Miquel falls ill. Their future will depend on the courage and effort of their two children.

Tita Planells was born in Ibiza. She is a very popular actress in the Balearic Islands, especially for her television roles and also as a TV host. She has worked in successful Catalan-speaking TV series (‘Llàgrima de sang’), and in nationwide productions (‘El síndrome de Ulises’, ‘Diez en Ibiza’). She was also the host of the documentary film ‘The tourist revolution’, produced by Pauxa Films.

Giant

(Antonio de la Cruz)

He is a giant who lives in a cave located in the mysterious islet of Es Vedrà. His raging appetite compels him to devour all visitors who come near his domain. When the two brothers arrive on the islet to ask the giant for the plant that can save their father, he tries to trick them. He certainly doesn’t imagine that his physical superiority and strength may not be enough to take advantage of these two brave kids.

Antonio de la Cruz

He is an actor from the Canary Islands who stands out for his imposing height. He has the ability to play unique characters, both in fantasy and horror stories, as well as in historical plots or action films. His profile has allowed him to work in major movie productions under the direction of Terry Gilliam, Michael Noer or Javier Fesser. He plays the Giant of Es Vedrà, a mythical figure that suits him perfectly.

Toniet

(Miquel Montoro)

He is the eldest son of the Partit family. When his father falls ill, he and his little brother get on the boat heading for Es Vedrà, where the sea fennel is supposed to grow. On the islet, they will face the evil giant, who usually eats all the strangers. But Toniet, as the older brother, will use all his wit to survive and achieve his goal.

Miquel Montoro

Besides being a great actor, he is a Majorcan YouTuber and Instagrammer, known throughout Spain for his videos about the rural world. Montoro is also a contributor to the program ‘Uep! Com anam?’ in the Balearic Islands TV and is a regular presence in Spanish top TV shows (‘La Resistencia’) and radio programs (‘Anda ya’). On his social networks, he has more than 10 million views and more than 700,000 followers.

Pepet

(Joan Ribas)

He is the younger brother of the Partit family. Despite his young age, he is almost as brave and skilled as Toniet, whom he follows wherever he goes. And this is precisely what happens when his father falls seriously ill since Pepet doesn’t hesitate to embark on a dangerous adventure to save him. Like his older brother, he will put his life in danger to face the giant.

Joan Ribas

He is a thirteen-year-old promising actor. We discovered him in the casting for this film and we were surprised by his acting abilities. Since 2017 he has been part of the Es Cubells theater company, with which he has participated in some plays. He has also worked on the IB3 TV show ‘Ucs i clics, grans i petits’ and plays in the children’s football category of UE Sant Josep.

The Partit family faces a tough situationwhen the householder’s life hangs in the balance.

Their only option is to visit a wise healer woman, who gives them the key to getting a remedy for Miquel.

Àngels Martínez is our casting director. She is a great acting coach, theater director, and acting teacher. In addition, she is an excellent actress who has been part of all Pauxa Films projects directed by Héctor Escandell, such as ‘The crimes of All Hallows’ Day’ or ‘Incestum’.
